New Direction

I think I'm giving my blog a point, I'm going to talk about my insights and lessons I've learned in my relatively short life. I'm also going to write short stories, post occasional pictures from my photography that can be found on my flickr photostream as well discussing world events and epic happenings in the music scene.

The changes begin tomorrow as I am going to bed haha. Thanks for like the one person supporting this. Tood-a-loo ya'll.

The JARED AND MATT'S EPIC SWASHBUCKLING ADVENTURE!!!

So last Sunday, May 17th, Me and Steve went up to Nichole's house where we met up with Jared, Aaron, Karissa, and obviously Nichole. Me and Jared learned Mayday Parade's Miserable at Best while the double daters chilled outside and cooked on the grill. We ate some delicious chicken and then went to a park to attempt to swashbuckle, where we got bit by gracious mosquitos and had to watch the double daters be annoying, and ended up not watching and just really not caring at all. Then we went back to the house, where Jared and myself decided to write an awesome new song called Change Is Today and I Am Tomorrow while the double daters disapeared upstairs. After completing the song, Nichole's cool sister came home and they decided to watch a movie. Jared and I did not feel like staying around for the double daters movie date cliche action. So we took steves car, opened the windows, blasted War of Ages, so began

the AND 's CONCORD SWASHBUCKLING ADVENTURE!!

It started at a gas station, where Jared got a Full Throttle and I drank my first energy drink, a Rockstar. Upon our departure we drove until coming across these cool train tracks by this old creepy building ( <-- This one lol). Jared and I pulled over and practiced our song upon the top of a stack of old pipes by the train tracks, following the musical session we then drank energy drinks and walked down the tracks where we encountered alot of trash along the tracks , We walked around the downtown concord area for awhile and climbed stuff and hung out, it was pretty awesome! We were greeted by some slutty mannequins at an awkward store front along our journey: We walked all the way to a Market Basket Plaza and played in a parking garage, and I took a leak between Burlington Coat Factory and Fashion Bug haha. The we walked all the way back to the train tracks, where we hopped in the car, and ate some gas station treats, I opened my door and hocked a loogie haha. From there we rolled on down to McDonalds where we purchased got some Dollar Menu Goodies and aimlessly wondered in our motor vehicle in search of an empty parking lot where we disembarked to wonder aimlessly (once again) around some nearby neighborhoods on foot while we enjoyed our tasty tantalizing cheap Mickey D treats. It then came to the unfortunate time when we had to get back so me and my brother could scurry on home, but upon getting back to my brothers lovely little 4 cylinder 95 Subaru Legacy Outback.. my Sunkist which I had purchased at the Hess gas station earlier, was gone. I had placed it between my seat and the door... I looked around the car for where it could be... it wasn't anywhere. Thinking back to the last time i opened the door.. all I could remember was getting in the car from the train tracks... then I remember I opened the door to spit! It must've fallen out there!! So we drove back there, found my sunkist, and drove back to Nicholes house where we all said our farewells and goodnights!

Mr. Hugs, We Love You

Jared's bummed tonight, as to why is not relevant, neither is it practical. Regardless, I decided to make this post to say, Jared, we love you, don't be bummed, you totally ROCK!!! like dude, ur my best friend, and my brother. So stop bumming out, its not cool man. Chin up!! :)

For Whom It May Concern

I am single!!! If you think that this has been the case, well.. congrats you are officially correct and not priveleged enough to know of events prior to this post! lol. Anyways, the convention was full of drama and because of that drama, there will officially be no more related drama. As for the spritual part, AMAZING. This was probably my favorite convention EVER!! there was so much to think about, and its definitely changed how I think and how I'm going to live my life. :)

so me and heather and steve and karissa and my mom went to the mall today so steve could a new suit for his baptism next week. and me and heather were lookin at cameras at best buy, and then the other 3 took off and i didnt know where, lol, so we went to hot topic, and i ACTUALLY didnt buy anything, but we had fun looking lol. and then heather said lets go to spencers, and im like.. nah, lol, too sketchy for me, even though i know alot of witnesses that go there, but w.e. and we were gonna go into pac sun, but they were closing, and then we went to the pet store so i could see how badly they take care of their reptiles and it wasnt the worset but it was pretty noobish. and theeeeeeen they closed, so we went to sears to see if they were there, and we went in and they werent, so we go to leave, and they closed the gate on us... so we went to the outside doors but 3 out of 4 were locked so we started to get a little scared lol but we made it outside and walked over to the mens warehouse, which is where they were they were, and then the guy there unlocked the door for us so we could go out to best buy. and then we left and chilled at meh place for a bit... THE END, that was my evening

NEW SUPER COOL FRIEND

ok, soooo lets forget about my super cool friend, cuz she just went down to friend. My new super cool friend, is actually just a super cool friend! Congrats Mr. Hugs (jared lol)! You're my new super cool friend, cuz you're totally super cool to me lol. thanks man!!! XD who needs girls anyways?? ah who am I kidding?! I DO... but I got time :) :)

So...

so last night, I was talking to my super cool friend, but she has this not so super cool friend. and wanted to know if I liked our super cool friend. I told my super cool's not so super cool friend, that we just wanted to be friends. She asked me if we were going to date, and I said, maybe later on, and she started going CRAZZZZYYYYYY because she's not so super cool.

Shipwreck In The Sand

Silverstein released its new album, Shipwreck in the Sand, today. Following the album, Arrivals and Departures, I personally had low expectations after Arrivals and Departures let me down from having high expectations due to previous groundbreaking records such as, When Broken Is Easily Fixed, and, Discovering the Waterfront. However, Shipwreck in the Sand has not let me down at all! With songs consisting of deeper "emo" lyrics and powerful harmonies like, American Dream, or heavier hitting songs like Vices, with Liam Cormier of Cancer Bats, that features more agressive deep screaming that fit tightly in to the post-hardcore niche with a hard hitting double kick/tom intro, really fulfills all I could possibly ask of Silverstein! Yet another excellent album from the post-hardcore legends. Shipwreck in the Sand, is a must have in every music collection filled with music for black broken hearts and the hair in front of your eyes.

Welcome to my blog of mayhem!! As you can see, this is my first post, so my blog probably isnt done yet. Which means, there's more mayhem to come. I had alot to do today, so I'm a little tired and not too creative, but when I AM more creative.. I will be sure to post much more of my own "Matthew Yao Mayhem!!!". Also, the playlist for my blog isnt quite done yet. I'm probably gonna start all over... of course there will still be plenty of Thrice, because Thrice rules! Anyways, I'm taking suggestions on how to mayhemify the already exsisting crazy mad mayhem. As you may have probably already noticed, I am trying to over use the word 'mayhem'. Next, I will be trying to over use the phrase.. "Mass Destructing Mayhem" however I am not a terrorist. I am simply referring to the crazy rad awesome powers of Rock N' Roll, and the destructive capabilities of Metal.. and the incomparable devastation of me rambling on, like I am now RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!! RABBLE RABBLE rabble RABBLE!!!!
